* I feel bad for visitors from the mid-west and especially the east coast who come to California expecting to see beauty. Compared to what we've seen, it is so brown, dry, and barren here. The view from the freeway is particularly depressing, especially through the cities.
Yes we do have beautiful places, variety, and incredible scenery but you have to know where to go & when to see it.
We have just been awe-struck by the greenery & trees even along the freeways and through big cities (architecture & history too) all along our journey.
