And we're off!

After packing the final items in the RV and locking up the house (Teri's mom got home last night in time to house sit for us), Teri drove the motorhome to Tulare to pick Mike up at work. We left around 9:30 am and were at the bottom of our dirt road by 10! We went super slow making sure the trailer we are pulling full of Kyra & Kenny's stuff wasn't gonna hit the little rack attached to the back of the RV to hold the generator we are borrowing. That was a very nerve racking ride down the hill with all of the switchbacks and a heavy load! I am very thankful for flat, paved freeways. We picked Mike up at work just before noon and now he is driving :) We are in Bakersfield right now, just merging onto the 58 heading east for the beginning of our long drive to Charlotte, NC.
